Following the success of the Grand Beach Hotel in Miami Beach, the Grand Beach Hotel, Surfside will offer the same level of affordable luxury, with 9 pools and Jacuzzis, gym, panoramic sunset views and ample on-site parking. Our suites have proven popular with all types of travelers, be they families, individuals, couples or sharers. Even our standard suite offers 2 full bathrooms, two 42” flat screen TV’s, balconies, free WIFI internet, free movie channels, a sleeping and lounge area. What is the plan for the construction of the Grand Beach, Surfside?
The Grand Beach Hotel, Surfside will comprise two distinct and self-contained facilities each with a slightly different market price point but sharing the same identity, concept and room product as well as interior design concept.
On the East side of Collins Avenue, guests will be greeted immediately at their car drop off by direct views of the Atlantic Ocean. Entering the lobby they will discover high ceilings, spacious and luxurious appointments complimented by art exhibits. The L-shape lobby will, on one side, lead to the Date Palm Garden creating natural shade for outdoor sunbathers and beach-goers and on the other side a perspective over the 2 pools bordered by rows of date palms. Facilities will include 269 hotel rooms, restaurant, lobby bar, 2 pools and 2 jacuzzis on the ground floor level with access to the beach via landscaped terraces offering private sunbathing areas. The landscaped roof-deck will offer a pool and 2 jacuzzis with panoramic views and year round, day long sun. From the roof deck guests will be able to descend one level to the 12th floor to have access to the Sunset Lounge where they will be offered drinks. Guests will also have access to 24 hour valet, room service, concierge services, gym and limited meeting/ballroom facilities. The roof pool is unique in that it is the only location in the area that will offer year round, all day sun – clearly an essential amenity for all customers.
On the West side of Collins Avenue, guests will find 72 larger rooms providing the same level of luxury and comfort as they have come to expect from the Grand Beach name but at even more affordable prices, based on a select service concept. We anticipate these rooms will be especially popular with families wishing affordable accommodation with in-room limited breakfast and no public restaurant. This facility was designed to be fully independent of the east building with its own roof pool, valet parking, parking garage, linen storage and pickup, and trash facilities. We anticipate customers of this facility will make ample use of the Harding Avenue business district shops and restaurants as well as the public beach access at 94th street. Its customers, as are all Surfside residents, are welcome to also use the amenities of the east facility. This hotel will feel like a truly independent boutique hotel.
In all, both facilities will offer the benefit of 375 parking spaces. We anticipate that on average the hotel customers will occupy 185 of those spaces. This will, in turn, provide some possible additional parking for the area.
